WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN YEAR 2022

Year 2022 has started, and we wish that it would be a great year for everyone. 

Everyone has started this year with their resolution, same as year 2022 has also started and will end up with many space events and missions

1.STARSHIP(SPACEX) 

Elon musk is developing a starship to get people to Mars. It's first ever orbital flight will be in March 2022

It is a stainless-steel fully reusable rocket, able to deliver cargo and crew to various locations in the Solar System. It is  developed and constructed by SpaceX, an American aerospace manufacturer, launch service provider, and communications corporation. The rocket consists of a Super Heavy booster stage at the bottom and a Starship spacecraft at the top, making it the tallest and most powerful of all. Both stages combust liquid oxygen and methane with variants of Raptor engines.

2.GANGANYAAN (ISRO) 

ISRO(Indian Space Research Organization) has planned 2 uncrewed mission this year

Gaganyaan is a mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Under the Gaganyaan schedule:

1) Three flights will be sent into orbit.

2) There will be two unmanned flights and one human spaceflight.

3) The Gaganyaan system module, called the Orbital Module will have three Indian astronauts, including a woman.

4) It will circle Earth at a low-earth-orbit at an altitude of 300-400 km from earth for 5-7 days.

With that launch, India will be in the elite club of nations (America, China and Russia). 

3.CHANDRAYAAN 3

After, a last minute glitch in Chandrayaan 2 landing in 2019.ISRO has planned to reattempt a lander and rover on the moon in year 2022 or 2023.It will not have an orbiter. The spacecraft is planned to be launched in mid 2022 -2023

4.PSYCHE MISSION

Psyche is a large astroid about two thousand twenty six kilometre (226 km) discovered by the Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis, working in Naples, on 17 March 1852 and named after the Greek mythological figure Psyche. 

According to studies published in the academic periodical the Planetary Science Journal (PSJ),  Psyche is so full of what is likely iron and nickel that the asteroid itself is likely worth around $10,000 quadrillion.

Launching in August 2022 and arriving at the asteroid belt in 2026, NASA's Psyche spacecraft will study this astroid so that one day NASA can harvest minerals from it

5.PRIME -1

Polar Resources Ice Mining Experiment-1 (PRIME-1) is a NASA lunar project.

It's an ice mining drill from the moon. And is aimed to study water ice from inside the moon
